Quinton Cancel - Chair

Dr. Quinton V. Cancel is a Board Certified Urologist practicing General Urology with an emphasis on Robotic Surgery and Men’s Health.  He obtained his undergraduate degree in Biology at Washington University, in St. Louis.  Dr. Cancel received his medical training at Duke University Medical Center and is a partner at Upper Cumberland Urology Associates in Cookeville. Dr. Cancel is the Chairman of the Robotic Surgery Committee at CRMC where he oversees the first 5-Specialty Robotics Program in the state of Tennessee.  In 2012, Dr. Cancel was elected president by the executive board and has lead IMPACT into a new era of expansion and inclusion. He is passionate about impacting the lives of the marginalized and enjoys living in Cookeville with his wife, Kristea and two boys, Quinton II and Jackson. 

Antonio Ibanez - Chair Elect

Born in Spain, on November 16,1972, Mr. Ibanez has a bachelor of Industrial Engineering, and a Masters of Business Administration from UPC Barcelona and Executive Program Degree from IPADE (Mexico). He has worked for FICOSA North America for over 15 years and currently hold the position of Chief Operating Officer—FICOSA North America. Mr. Ibanez has strong credentials and global experience in managing a large operation with multiple industrial sites across the world.  He is married to the former Alma and they have one girl.

Thomas Savage - Executive Secretary

Thomas Savage , a native of Livingston, Tennessee, and attended Nashville Tech, where he earned a degree in electronics.  He recently retired from the United Auto Workers Union where he served as the International Representative.  He is a life long civil rights activist and community organizer and currently serves as president of the NAACP branch in Cookeville Tennessee that services Putnam, White, Overton and Clay counties.  Tom is an active member of several organizations including 100 Black Men of America, the Southern Christian Leadership Conference, the Mississippi Immigrant Rights Alliance, the A. Phillip Randolph Institute and is the State Vice Chairman of Labor for the NAACP State Conference. He resides in Cookeville, Tennessee with his wife of twenty three years, Linda Ledbetter Savage and they four children and eleven grandchildren.

Harry Ingle, Jr. - Executive Treasurer

Harry Ingle, Jr., a Nashville native graduated from Tennessee Technological University with his B.S. in Business Administration and Masters of Arts in Educational Psychology & Counseling.  Mr. Ingle is currently pursuing his Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership with a concentration in Higher Education Administration at Tennessee State University in Nashville, TN.  He currently serves as the Director of the Clay N. Hixson Student Success Center for the College of Engineering at Tennessee Technological University. Harry serves on the executive board for Cookeville IMPACT Inc. as the Treasurer.  Additionally, he is the Vice-President for the Putnam County Library Board of Trustees in Cookeville, TN.

He and his wife Sarah reside in Cookeville, TN and have two sons, Harrison and Braxton and a daughter, Sally Kate.

Mark Hutchins - Vice Chair of Development

J. Mark Hutchins is President and CEO of Hutchins Strategies, an executive management and business consulting firm, and President of Ä’KAMOR, one of the first true waste to product companies.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in business and master’s degree in Organizational Psychology specializing in human relations and supervision at Louisiana Tech University.  Over the last 30 years, he served Louisiana Tech University, The University of Texas at Austin, and Mississippi State University, and as associate vice president, vice president and interim president at Wood College (MS), Murray State University (KY) and Tennessee Tech University.  A certified John C. Maxwell Coach, Teacher, Trainer and Speaker, Hutchins has presented on a variety of topics across the country, and he currently serves as Chairman of Impact Leadership.

Lisa Zagumny - Director of Education

Lisa Zagumny, Ph.D., is the Dean of the College of Education at Tennessee Technological University. She earned her bachelor’s degree in history at Central Michigan University, her master’s degree in art history at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and her doctoral degree in education at the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. Lisa serves on the executive board of the National Association for Multicultural Education (NAME) as the president-elect and is the founding member of TN NAME. She and her husband Clint Hardison reside in Algood.

Robert Owens - Vice Chair of Equity

Dr. Owens is Assistant Vice President of Student Affairs and the Leona Lusk Officer Multi-Cultural Center at Tennessee Technical University. A native of Murfreesboro, he earned both his undergraduate and terminal degrees at TTU and is the spouse of Mrs. Dana Mason-Owens also an alumna of TTU and a Knoxville Native. They have five wonderful children. Dr. Owens is also a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc.

Vahid Motevalli - Vice Chair of Community Engagement

Dr. Motevalli is currently the Associate Dean of Engineering for Research and Innovation at Tennessee Tech University.  He also holds the rank of Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department and is a registered Professional Engineer.  Dr. Motevalli earned his B.S., M.S. and Ph. D. in Mechanical Engineering all from the University of Maryland, College Park.  He has also served as the Interim Director of the Center of Excellence for Manufacturing Research from 2014-2018.  Prior to joining TTU, he served as a Department Head and Center Director at Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana.  Dr. Motevalli has been conducting interdisciplinary research and education throughout his career, which has included fire safety, automotive safety, hybrid-electric vehicles, aviation safety and security.  He has extensive international experience and has served as a Congressional Fellow in the US House of Representative.  He is a strong promoter of diversity and inclusion in the college of engineering and the university.

Vani Gaddam - Director of Ambassadors Program

Vani Gaddam, Ph.D., is a passionate educator and motivational speaker. She believes in life long learning and has earned several degrees from India and USA. She enjoys traveling around the world, meeting people, and learning different cultures. She, her husband Dr. Kotla, and their two sons Vivek and Vivian reside in Cookeville.

Jasen Knight - Director of Branding and Expansion

Jasen is an East TN native and works as a Global Product Manager for an industry leader Flowserve Corporation.  He obtained his undergraduate degree in Finance from Tennessee Tech University - Cookeville, TN and his MBA with a concentration in Marketing from King University- Bristol, TN. Jasen and his wife Tara have a beautiful blended family with children Lyric and Aiden. His personal motto: “If I don’t love the person I am, no one else will”.
